CGTech’s new version of its Vericut CNC simulation software offers a newly-designed interface, as well as nearly 500 other enhancements and changes. The company claims that the changes lead to an increase in processing speed, as well as lengthening tool life and increased part quality.
An automatic Welcome Screen that offers common first actions is a new addition to version 7.4. As well as this, a new docking method allows Vericut’s desktop to be configured in the most efficient manner for the user.
The Vericut status window has been completely redesigned for better viewing, customisation and size, and a new tool bar is located at the top of the tool manager window, comprised of a combination of icons and pull-down menus to make the system easier to use.
CGTech also highlight that new interfaces are easily integrated with software packages Creo Parametric 3.0, CAMWorks and SolidWorks, and interfaces for nearly every major CAM system are available. There is also connectivity with Kennametal’s NOVO, Iscar’s IQCloud, and other tooling suppliers via the Machining Cloud.
As noted by CGTech Ltd managing director John Reed: “The enhancements in Vericut version 7.4 provide the speed organisations need to rapidly release new part programs to the shop floor, train new users, and continually optimise workpiece quality to ensure customer satisfaction.”
