UK firm Mills CNC has recently announced that it will be expanding on its floor space by creating the Mills CNC Technology Campus at the Tackbrook Link, located in Leamington, Warwickshire. The company will acquire a new 25,000 square foot building that is adjacent to its existing facilities.
One of the ways that this new space will be employed for is boosting the stock of Doosan machines within the company. Due to their size, these large machines were not previously able to be stocked in this location – they had to be stored in a warehouse at Felixstowe. Once the new campus is up and running, there will be enough room to stock over 60 machines. The new Technology Campus will also allow Mills to develop their turnkey operations further, so that they can create a new dedicated turnkey centre.
The added space will also mean that the company will be able to expand the CNC Training Academy, which provides instruction and training for employees working within the CNC machine tool sector. The CNC Training Academy will gain four new fully equipped rooms which will help to meet the demand for increased training within this area of technology.
The building works are currently under way and it is estimated that the very first phase of the technology campus will be completed by 2014 during the first quarter of the year. This is a major investment for the company and it is hoped that it will encourage future growth and success.
